Met (w)EGO: Tailor-Made Housing onderzoekt The Why Factory de participatieve processen die een rol spelen bij het ontwerpen van woningen. Deze processen bemiddelen tussen de wensen van elk van de bewoners van een woonblok en bepalen mede het ontwerp van hun appartementen. Om dit doel te bereiken verkent (w)EGO de mogelijkheden van een bepaald spelproces. Dit spel maakt gebruik van de specifieke kenmerken van elke bewoner en transformeert deze in ruimtelijke behoeften. Op deze manier ontstaan er onverwachte woningtypologieën binnen een echt mensgericht woongebouw.
